Here at State Road Hardware & Mercantile, we reckon there’s no better way to keep Appalachian spirit alive than by filling our shelves with one-of-a-kind treasures made by friends and neighbors. Our consignment corner brims with local artistry including: hand-thrown pottery that’s just right for your morning coffee, wire-bent and beaded jewelry that catches the light, and small-batch bath and body treats whipped up with love in a nearby kitchen.
When you choose to shop small, you’re doing more than buying pretty things. You’re helping a potter pay rent, letting a jeweler keep their workshop lights on, and allowing a soap maker to keep experimenting with new scents for your skin. Every dollar you spend here echoes back through our holler, supporting families, sponsoring local events, and keeping Appalachian traditions from fading away.
Our consignment shelves are honest and full, and right now we aren't adding any more vendors to give us the chance to shine a spotlight on the talented artisans already trustin’ us with their work. Please feel free to stop by and inquire about future vendor openings, though we’re not accepting new vendors at this time.
So next time you’re driving
through our winding mountain roads, pull off at State Road Hardware & Mercantile. Browse that consignment corner, find a gift that tells a story, and take home a piece of this place we all call home. Your support means the world—not just to us, but to every maker whose craft carries forward the heartbeat of Appalachia.
